We’ve been regular buyers of the Rubber Mallet Decaf from Alexander Henry Coffee, and it continues to impress us every time.
This coffee proves you don’t need caffeine to enjoy a rich, full-bodied cup. From the moment it starts brewing, the aroma is warm and inviting, and the flavour delivers just as beautifully. It’s incredibly smooth, with none of the bitterness that often comes with decaf. Instead, you get a well-balanced cup with subtle chocolatey and slightly nutty notes that make it feel indulgent and satisfying.
What really stands out is how consistent it is. Bag after bag, the quality never disappoints, and it holds its own against any regular coffee. It’s become our go-to, especially for evenings or when we want all the comfort of coffee without the caffeine.
You can tell there’s real care put into the roasting process. It’s approachable enough for everyday drinking but refined enough to feel like a treat.
If you’ve ever been disappointed by decaf in the past, Rubber Mallet is absolutely worth trying—it might just change your mind.
A nice roast, not too dark which most decaffeinated coffees seem to be. Extra points for using the Swiss water method.
I usually get the whole bean, it's great quality for the price. On top of that, it locally roasted, and well sourced.
It's the best bang for you buck for Swiss water decaf by far. Very good clean taste.
